RTX 3050

The NVidia GeForce RTX 3050 is a mid-level graphics card built on the Ampere architecture, a first-gen Ampere GPU that offers 3072 CUDA Shader Processing Units, 144 TMUs, and 64 ROPs. In addition, the RTX 3050 supports ray tracing and comes equipped with 288 Tensor cores for AI purposes.

The GPU has a core speed of 700 MHz and goes up to 1200 MHz in the Turbo Mode. It can support a maximum GPU memory of 6GB GDDR6 through a 256-bit memory interface.

The performance of the RTX 3050 suggests that it is as fast as the RTX 2060 Super Mobile and is ideal for 1080p gaming. This card is best suited for resolutions up to 2560 x 1440p. It pairs well with a mid to high-level CPU.

GTX 1650

The GTX 1650 is a mid-range graphics card for Gaming laptops based on Turing GPU architecture. It works on a 12nm process and hence is an advantage over the 14nm process on the Pascal architecture.

Unlike the RTX 3050, this GTX 1650 does not support ray tracing. It features 1024 SPUs, 64 TMUs, and 32 ROPs.

The GTX 1650 has a base core speed of 1395 MHz that can go up to 1560 MHz in the Turbo Boost Mode. In addition, this GPU can support 4GB GDDR5 memory through a 128-bit memory interface.

The positive aspect of the GTX 1650 is that it consumes less power with a TDP of 50W. The configurations suggest that the GTX 1650 is ideal for gaming at resolutions 1600 x 900p. It combines well with a mid-range CPU and requires at least 8GB of system RAM for delivering optimal performance.

The GTX 1650 Ti Mobile will offer performance that is around 10% slower than its desktop version. However, it can play the modern AAA games at medium to high graphics. This GPU can deliver an average of 50+ FPS at 1080p screen resolution.
